I have taken several econometrics classes. The educational process has not always been pleasant. In fact, several homeworks have reduced me to infantile temper tantrums (stomping, shouting, pouting, wimpering...). In the end I was smarter girl and perhaps one day a savvier policy analyst/maker/POTUS.
Until now...
I am taking "survival analysis." Its all about how individuals "die" and "hazard rates." A bit ironic since its killing me (kind of lack a black fly in white chardonay... a waste of perfectly good win).
Heres the situation. I am at the point where I know enough to know which statisticaly methods don't work and which might. BUT, I dont know exactly how to use the ones that are probably best. I no longer can proceed blissfully ignorant of potential biased estimates, inflated standard errors, and type I / II errors.
What have I gotten myself into?!?!?

One of the first movies I can remember sitting thru was with my mother and it was Que Sera Sera. Guess your grandmother liked Doris Day and she couldn't find a sitter. Hell what did I know?
